To find my information on Tibet History I went on to www.google.com. From there I searched Tibet history. After looking through different website I found a website which I thought was very detailed but short and easy read. The link to that site is http://cc.purdue.edu/~wtv/tibet/history.html
The author is T.T.Moh*. I really liked this site because everything is listed in order with major heading and subheadings. The site has many different visuals with each of the topics. I would recommend the website because like I said it’s very basic and easy to understand but a lot of major information is given. In the website it gives the readers many different options to see and read about. One major thing I really liked about this website is that it showed a connection to the different major influence from which Tibet was formed.

Website description

I've used Google for finding a website about Tibet. I just simply typed in "Tibet conflict with China", then click on "search". I chose the second link showed in the list, which is "Nicole Edick, Politics 116 - World Politics, The Tibet-China Conflict." http://www.mtholyoke.edu/~nfedick/index.html. This web site is created by Nicole Edick, on May 11, 2005. This website is really well organized with several links that will lead you to different topics about Tibet: society & culture, Tibetan Buddhism, Tibet government & economics, Atrocities, and The conflict with China. Every link you enter has a brief and clear description about the topic and a visual. I would really recommend this website to everyone who would like to find out to why things have happened related to major conflict in Tibet. This site gives you a little background and relates it’s to the current event to show how thing have leads up to the situations.

I found this website by using the Google search engine and I typed in a phrase called “Holy Mountains in Tibet.” By searching through some websites I found the website http://www.chinaplanner.com/tibet/ngari/ngr_holy.htm. This website is developed and managed by www.ChinaPlanner.com, a China travel service provider and a China tour operator.
I prefer this website because it is clear to understand and all the headings and subheadings are organized. It also have some pictures in it so that we could visualize on what we are reading.

URL: http://dalailama.com/news.htm

I found this website through a searching engine : http://www.lii.org as given in the study guide. Dalailama was almost like the center of the people from tibet. He played a major role in dealing with religious as well as political problems. So I believe this is a good website that I could recommend a friend to visit for additional information about tibet, and Dalailama definitely will get involved in many major events going on in Tibet.

Ethos: Dalailama, or people that worked directly with Dalailama -The Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama created the website.

Logos: The argument was both logical and coherent. SOMEONE like Dalailama has to be like that.

Patho: He tries to persuade people to help and believe what he believe by creating a website that makes you feel peaceful. I m not sure about this, because his religion can some time make him think differently, which made him think differently than us. Therefore, I don't think this website is that persuasive.

This website will give the reader or researcher a better idea about the culture, religion, and politics in Tibet. I love the part where Dalailama was actually the Blogger for this website. I will definitely share this website with my friend.

I simply use a searching engine:http//www.lii.org/ search for Tibetan culture, and then I found this website. The website was creating by the government of Tibet in exile in UK. It contains lots of information about current news, the status of Tibet, and Tibetan culture. Reading under the articles of Tibetan culture, I found that is really interesting of the way they believe and find the renicarnation of the Dalai Lama and Panchen Lama. It provides lots of detial in every subject. The document's position in this website is logical and coherent, and the emotional appeal is more of the textual than visual pictures. It is a great website to visit.

I found this by typing www.wikipedia.org, choose the language English, then I type the word “Tibet” in the search box. It shows me the web page of the link above. And on this page, I can see where Tibet is, how the region look like. It also tell me how the name changes by different language between English, Tibetan, and Chinese. I can find their language, history, geography, economy, demographics, culture, cuisine, etc. this is always the best site for me when I try to research something in detail. Even though everyone can edit the info, but most of them are the truth.

http://www.travelblog.org/asia/china/blog-7890.html I found this website on www.google.com. I recommend this website because the author who was a witness to see the sky burial in Tibet wrote this website. It is powerful to prove the truth of this situation. It is very detail to write about the subjects. This link toward about traveling, which is connecting with the topic and it is also like a journal. It makes people image that we are in the Tibet to see the vultures to eat dead people’s body. There are also have lots of pictures to prove it. This link also has lots of messages from the person who reply to the author. We can see many different opinion and thinking about different people. Also we can discuss the topic. I like this website.

I found this tibetan website by first going to http://www.lii.org/ and entered tibet history under search catagory, ehich then directed me to a topic nmed "Dreams of tibet:A troubled country and its enduring fascination," by clicking on that link then sent me to another websitr http://www.pbs.org/wqbh/pages/frontline/shows/tibet on this website i clicked an icon named 'understanding tibetan buddhism' which then gave me an entire essay on tibetan religion. the website was interesting, in my opinion it conained all three factors of ethos, pathos and logos. i would highly recommend this website to a person who would like to learn a little more on tibet.

I found the website by googling “Tibet Culture”; it was in the second page.

Ethos: It is a non-profit membership organization.

Logos: It is logical and coherent. It tells the fact.

Pathos: It tries to use the fact that Tibet is being treated unfair to persuade people to help Tibet.

I would recommend this website. Not like most websites that already has a point of view and try to persuade people hardly, this website gives you lots of news to let you think over whether if you would like to help Tibet or not.
It also has lots of information about Tibet (History, Politics and Legal Situation, Human Rights, Culture, etc.) that helps you know more about Tibet.

In the early days of March 2008, one of the world event related to the small country occurred in Asia is Tibet protest. We heard the news on radio, watched reports on TV, or read daily news in internet or newspapers. Tibetans went to streets to protest the governments and hoped for their country having independent. Since 1950s, Tibet was invaded by china and was under controlled by China a neighbor country. In 1959, the Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhists, was forced to flee out off his country and lived in Dharamshala, India. To understand about Tibet country, I used Google to search Tibet’s information online. In the box of Google, I typed “Tibet”. I found the list of website concerned Tibet. Just took few minutes I scanned all brief statement under each different website listed. I referred the website has an address: http:www.tibet.org. It is an official website of Central Tibetan Administration and was created by Tibet government in exile. It is named Tibet online which contains various topics related to Tibetans and Tibet country. In the Tibet online, you can link to many difference sites included news, major Tibet sites, Tibet culture (traditional food, art, manners and customs, etc), human right in Tibet, travel in Tibet, and more. You can also find the link of the history of Tibet in introduction of the website. It is not a good design as I expected, there is neither logo nor pictures at the home page, and the layout is plain and spare. However, it contains much information which I can trust. Its information is real and reliable. I still keep in mind with the question why Chinese governments put their controlling into Tibet land for a long time. Therefore, I doubt all information was posted by Chinese governments or Tibet government who built up by Chinese managements. During the current days of violent in Tibet, Chinese governments do not allow international journalists to free to narrate the events in the public. Moreover, they put the firewalls in the internet networks to forbid Tibetans and even Chinese people accessing to the inadmissible topics or sensitive information. I suspect the existence of freedom and democracy in Tibet at the moment. I truly recommend this website to read or you can find the unknown information about Tibet. It highly persuades readers because it was created by Tibetans who love Tibet country and never speak incorrectly against their country.
